   This is a very attractive product. Great picture, easy to understand and to use. However, the first one we received had many minor features that were malfunctioning — of most interest to us was the automatic image orientation. We sent it back for a new one which did not have any of the other faults, but the image orientation still was non-fustional, so with regret, we gave up on it.

   Instead we bought an Audiovox DVD player which does all the Sony Picture Frame does, and plays movies (and costs less). In addition the Audiovox has a 2 hour battery for portability, which is a major deficit on the Sony.

   Why on earth would anyone want their picture crudely cropped to 15:9 by the frame?

   Our unit has worked for dÃa when we l& #039; they ordered with imÃgenes, and soon a second dÃa showing. When we l& #039; time, habÃa exchanged 3.o died. J& #039; they caused with the service of Sony during 30 minutes to return to put to zero l& #039; unit, but with this didn& amp; #039; work of t. A very bad experience. We spend 3 hours that prepared imÃgenes, imÃshipment genes, soon trying to determine this thing. A gift d& #039; of very short anniversary duracià ³ n.

   I was upgrading from a much cheaper unit as a valentine day present for my wife Stupid me! I assumed that the Sony would work similar to the cheaper unit. So, I popped for a 16GB SDHC card and copied my digital library of family pics to another drive. I resized the images since the Sony only handles about 800/600 resolution. I resized all 9,585 files in 156 folders and then loaded them on the SDHC card. Imagine my surprise after a whole days work to find that there is no way to select a single folder and view only those pics. Instead, it loads all 9,585 files into one big buffer based on file name and that is what you are stuck with. This seems like a huge disadvantage to me.

   Also, when I try to use the clock / pic view mode – the clock does not have the correct time. If I view clock only – it does. Has anyone else had this problem???

   Picture quality is excellent. I just wish access to specific albums/directories was as well.

   Clean crisp display – you get what you expect from a Sony. And overpriced.

   It is not possible to display the clock in a corner as well as your favorite image – I would have liked that. I wohat uld have liked a digital clock with oversized numbers and alarm – should have been easy to add. But Sony focused producing just a good photoframe and thats what this is about.

   The controls are easy to use, the remote is handy and adds to the large number that are already lying around the house. The frame does have a lot of interfaces – which is great when you want it connected up to other devices. I personally think this is one reason why the price of this device is on the higher side.

   Overall, a good product, but it is just a photo frame.
