Sigma release their new representation in digicam technology, its their latest 14M compact digital camera, called the Sigma DP1, now available for Korean users. Sigma stated their commitment to choose compact size rather than image sensor features, which is become common used in most DSLRs devices.

The DP1 is supported by 14 Mpx Foveon X3, with direct image sensor features, which is capable to absorb red, green and blue (RGB) light in different angle of depths. This gadget also adopting 2.5-inch LCD monitor with 230,000 pixel resolution, along side with RAW data(X3F) recording mode and JPEG recording format features for convenience in capturing quick scene.

This gadget also have fixed 16.6mm F4.0 lens features, able to work in wide angle field of view, which is equal to 28mm on a 35mm regular film camera. Sigma stated that this technology has been developed to maximize quality of the image, working together with the full color capture image sensor features.

According to Sigma official release, this digicam is planned to be released on March 7th with tag price for around KRW 899,000.
