J& #039; they obtained this for my classic d& #039; iPod. L& #039; glue that is supposed to nail the thing to the indicating ones was just even sticky when I l& #039; they abrieron, and even without iPod qu& #039; he was extremely unstable, and when J& #039; they put l& #039; iPod inside, would fall d& above; #039 exactly; no matter that the way I l& #039; to placed.
The windshield frame works well, but j& #039; props very disappointed by the script frame. This right thing isn& amp; #039; quite vigorous t, and I& amp; #039; m the one that gives back.

I am extremely disappointed in this product. I needed this for a long trip so that I would not have to continuously look down at my iPhone for directions. The Kensington Dash Car Mount would not mount to my dash and absolutely would not hold my iphone while attached to the windshield. It was rather unnerving watching my very expensive iPhone keep falling out of the holder. Whenever the mount had my iPhone in it, it wouldn’t stay attached to the windshield. I cannot begin to describe how unhappy I am. I would love to hear from anyone who has a dash mount that would actually hold the iPhone that is NOT a Kensington product.

I have to give a mediocre score to a mediocre product. I spent a week researching my purchase before buying this, and really thought this was my solution. I’m disappointed, overall. I’ve been considering the new TomTom and Megellan kits to mount my iPhone 3Gs to the dash, but didn’t want to spend $120. Thought this was the way to go, but now I’m back to the drawing board.
I opened the item upon receipt, and immediately one of the bottom tabs broke off. I literally had it out of the package for less than 2 minutes. Not a good start. I thought it might still work without the tab, though, since I intended to have the phone tilted sideways, thus negating the need for the bottom tabs anyway. So I went out to the car to mount it and see how it worked.
I live in Minnesota and drive a 2003 Nissan Maxima. In theory, this thing really is perfect for my car. I can’t windshield mount (illegal in MN) and there is just the perfect spot on my dash for this, right above the stereo. So I was optimistic, even with the broken tab. I got it mounted, drove around with it for a full day, and realized I’d need to return it. It literally would not stay mounted. The suction cup is out of play in MN winters, which I assume will be an issue for many customers. Any change in temp as your car is cold, and then warms up, causes it to dislodge and crash to the floor. Not good. The adhesive wasn’t much better. As far as I could tell, I’d need to screw it or superglue it to the dash to keep it on there, and I just wasn’t willing to do so.
So I’d say it’s an ok product, it just didn’t work for me. It fits the phone nicely, and I do like the way it swivels, the way it holds the phone (quite secure) and the overall design. It is built a bit cheaply, so you’ll want to handle it gently. If you feel good about the suction cup, go for it. If you live in the northern half of the country, I’d probably tell you to pass.

This thing broke as I was putting it together. There were no specific instructions on the assembly, and the pin to hold the bottom suction components on is cheap plastic and does not reach to both sides of the frame. I sent mine back.
