Although it will charge an iPhone 3G, the signal to the radio is not clear. I can barely hear the audio of the recording. I have a 06 Jeep grand Cherokee with the Nav radio. I mostly here static. Not worth the money!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a crime to charge this much for this product. The reception is awful, the smart scan doesn’t help in finding any better stations. Do not buy this.

Decent product, but I returned it because of the poor audio quality. There was so much static on every station that it was just not a usable product in my opinion. Everyone that says this is a good product must have extremely low audio quality standards. It is like listening to an AM station with a lot of static on it. The auto channel find feature doesn’t always find the best station either. It just isn’t worth the money, buy something else.

Not sure if it was just my unit but I have a Honda CRV and the signal is horrible. . . lots of static. Tried a ton of stations that I know are open with my previous units but still no success. Tried the “SmartScan” and it kept choosing known stations with strong signals already on them in my area. I would choose another product if you have the choice.

I picked this up at best buy the other day, for the price I didn’t think it would be too bad. When I plugged it in however, I discovered that the pickup on this device is awful. I tried setting it to a station I know is blank from past experience, and just had static with my songs lightly playing behind it. Then I used the “SmartScan” Technology and it went to a station that already had a strong radio broadcast. It didn’t even pick my iPod up over this station.
I’ve had another FM transmitter in the past, and I know the static issue was a small problem there too. However, for this device it is so bad that this is only good for charging up your iPod.
